Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team @ Waxed Vinyl Music Lounge. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of food and beverage service, and proficiency with POS systems. This role involves preparing and serving drinks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in fine dining, nightclubs, banquet settings, or catering is highly valued. The bartender will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our diverse clientele, including those in the food industry, retail, or hospitality sectors.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, taking orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction
• Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy using POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Restock supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying guest IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
• Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or catering functions
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills during busy hours
• Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling, food safety, and alcohol service

Experience

• Previous bartending experience in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, banquet settings, or catering environments is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Experience in food handling, food safety practices, and responsible alcohol service
• Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing tabs accurately
• Knowledge of the food industry, brewing processes, or hospitality operations is a plus
